  • Are the claims based on facts or assumptions?
  • Are the claims retaliatory in nature?
  • Are secret campaigns against members ok?
  • Were the actions of the board member(s) consistent with their fiduciary and ethical duties?

SPOUSES AMENDMENT

  • Why does the secret flyer not discuss the existing check and balances in the laws?
  • Is further reducing who can volunteer truly in the associations best interest?
  • Why were only spouses targeted? 
  • What are the consequences of not being able to seat a Board of Directors?

Xeriscaping AMENDMENT

  • Why was the member poll cancelled?
  • Is this amendment based on interest from a majority or a select few?
  • Who drafted the amendment?
  • Does the amendment conflict with other sections of the CC&R’s or city code?
  • Are existing city codes concerning turf alternatives incorporated?
  • How will this amendment impact the look of Meadowcrest?
  • Will this amendment impact property values?

QUORUM AMENDMENT

  • Why did the board originally try to bypass the members?
  • Why did the board change their plan?
  • Is the proposed amendment reasonable?
  • Do the proposed quorum requirements protect the association & members?

HOW DO YOU WANT THE BOARD TO SERVE YOU?

  • Do you want a transparent board or a secretive one?
  • Do you want an impulsive board or one that makes well thought out decisions?
  • Do you want a board that follows the rules (CC&R’s, Bylaws and laws)?
  • Do you want a board that encourages feedback from homeowners?

WHAT WE WANT

  • We want a 5-member board.
  • We want a transparent board.
  • We want a formal code of ethics for the Board of Directors.
  • We want ALL homeowners to receive fair and consistent treatment.
  • We want our money to be managed well.  
  • We want our association run by homeowners NOT a court appointed third party.

Before you fill out your ballots, please seek answers to questions you may have.  Your vote is important and will ultimately impact how Meadowcrest is run and your rights as homeowners.  Most importantly, if you can volunteer your time to serve on the Board of Directors, please do it.  We must have people willing to participate in our HOA order to prevent having an individual who does not live in Meadowcrest get appointed to oversee our association.
